PhD Symposium

The PhD symposium will consist of two short talks by our guest panalists Johannes Mahr (York University, Canada) and Lucia Melloni (Ruhr University Bochum). They will give you insight into interdisciplinary research, differences between academic systems and the trials and tribulations of an academic career. The talks will be follwed by a panel discussion where you will be given the opportunity to decide on the direction of the conversation.

We will also arrange other activities so you can get to know your peers and their research.

The research unit FOR 2812 "Constructing scenarios of the past: A new framework in episodic memory" is a project funded by the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG). The research unit studies the cognitive and neuronal mechanisms underlying scenario construction in episodic memory. We employ and integrate approaches from Philosophy, Psychology, and Experimental and Computational Neuroscience.
