Berlin-Bochum Memory Symposium 2022

The Berlin-Bochum Memory Alliance will hold its annual Memory Symposium on the 10th and 11th March 2022. Due to the pandemic the event will again be held in virtual space.

The aim of this annual event is to bring together researchers from 4 DFG funded consortia that study memory. Although all four consortia study different aspects of memory there are close connections between them. By learning about each others research it is hoped that synergies are created across the groups and that these then lead to collaborative research projects. On March 9th the junior researchers will meet (also virtually) at the PhD Symposium, where they will build networks and share their research.

The research unit FOR 2812 "Constructing scenarios of the past: A new framework in episodic memory" is a project funded by the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG). The research unit studies the cognitive and neuronal mechanisms underlying scenario construction in episodic memory. We employ and integrate approaches from Philosophy, Psychology, and Experimental and Computational Neuroscience.
