My general research interest is to understand how the brain works from a computational perspective. Currently, I am working on the modeling of the nature and function of episodic memory under the framework of reinforcement learning. I mainly utilize approaches from machine learning and conduct various simulations to investigate the research questions that I am interested in.
I obtained my master degree in Robotics and Mechatronics at the University of Twente in 2019, where I worked on applying reinforcement learning algorithms to develop a navigation strategy for a pipe inspection robot.

CoBeL-RL: A neuroscience-oriented simulation framework for complex behavior and learning
The research unit FOR 2812 "Constructing scenarios of the past: A new framework in episodic memory" is a project funded by the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG). The research unit studies the cognitive and neuronal mechanisms underlying scenario construction in episodic memory. We employ and integrate approaches from Philosophy, Psychology, and Experimental and Computational Neuroscience.
